We are moving to a two bedroom apartment next month and I am beyond excited to finally be able to decorate a real space for Juju. Right now he is in the corner of our bedroom- which is fine, except I think we are waking him up in the middle of the night accidentally. We've decided to go with an outdoorsy Moonrise Kingdom-esque theme.

A cold visit to Utah
Since we were already more than halfway to Provo on vacation we decided to make the rest of the trip up to visit all our friends + family in Provo. It had been almost a year since we'd been and most of our friends hadn't met Jude yet. Jude did great on the ride up, especially because Remy was in the backseat keeping him company. We had a great time visiting everyone. I was especially excited to see Christiana + her babies. It's hard living so far from your best friend! We celebrated New Year's Eve with everyone and had a great time. It was hard leaving again- even though we are happy here, we left a lot behind when we moved from Utah.
Thanks to Blake + Julie for letting us stay with them.
Jude loved the bouncy chair.
We went to India Palace with everyone the night before we left.
This is the only picture we got with friends! We need to be
better at taking more pictures.
The ride home was a different story. From St. George home
we were in separate cars because David picked up his dad's
truck to bring it to California. Driving alone with a baby
in the back who wants to get out of his carseat is TORTURE.
Rockwell REALLY wanted to lick Jude's face.
And Jude discovered his hands.

Faughts in Brian Head
My family rented a cabin in Brian Head, Utah for the week after Christmas. We hadn't been on a family vacation since 2006 so we were excited to finally be all together. Unfortunately Trevor couldn't come since he was working in Hawaii, but we had a great time playing in the snow. We had some trouble getting up the hill to our cabin a couple times but it gave us some good stories to tell. Like how driving up the hill backwards gave us better traction than going forward? No idea why.
Here's our cabin:
On our way down the hill for breakfast:
Jude's first time in the snow! He even went sledding.
SO much snow. We're standing up against a giant hill.
Me, Remy and Kyle tried to make a sledding hill
We were lucky to have my mom + sister with us
since they're such big helps and I got crazy sick
Ready for the bath!
While there we figured out that if we stood Jude up
against something, he could stand there on his own for a few seconds
And the yummiest berry pie ever.

Watch Me Grow: 4 Months!
Jude turned 4 months old on January 8. He is the happiest boy! He did so much better with his shots this time. I'm contributing that to the lavender oil I rubbed on his thighs beforehand. He is 16 pounds and 26 1/4 inches long. He's already wearing 6 months clothing and fits them length wise, but not width wise. He's in the 90th percentile for height and based on his height, the 25th percentile for weight. For his age he's in the 75th percentile for weight.
This boy loves toys. He could play all day long. He's rolled over from tummy to back and back to tummy about 6 times. He still doesn't like tummy time, but he does like his jumper and swing.
We started Jude on solids around 4 months. He LOVES oatmeal and brown rice cereal. He will eat any vegetable or fruit you feed him. Some he likes more than others, like green beans and butternut squash.
He wakes up between 2-3 times a night and goes to bed around 8PM. Sleeping on his back has given him an awesome bald spot on the back of his head.
