Lost in Austen

You may know that I am quite a bit of a Jane Austen fan, among other old-fashioned things. The way current girls feel about a certain vampire is how I feel about Mr. Darcy, Mr. Knightley, Mr. Ferrars. In a less creepy way, of course. There are so many re-dos of P + P that I mostly ignore stuff I see about it. But Lost in Austen caught my eye one day on BBC and then again on Netflix so I decided to check it out. It was 3 hours of pure enjoyment. And the story didn't go how you thought it would. Which was definitely surprising. Usually Austen remakes are so predictable. David even braved through the last hour of it with me. One of my favorite parts is when Mr Collins gets kneed in the...well, you know. Anyway, if you are a fan like I am, check it out!

Oh wait. I just remembered another favorite part. When Amanda, the main character, makes Mr Darcy re-enact the swimming in the pond scene from the A + E version. hehehe.

  1. I actually just checked out P&P at the library today. I never really have given Austen a shot so im going to read it the whole way through...without any prejudice. Oh and I remember seeing a preview for that on tv but missed it :( it looked good.
