We got to spend thanksgiving with a lot of Fenns. It was a really good time and we were glad we got to see david's grandparents who we haven't seen in three years. We are so grateful to David and Jackie for opening their home to us so we had a nice place to stay! We ate deep fried turkey (which happens to be amazing), went to Tombstone, Bisbee and Kartchner Caverns. It was a great week and we really love our family. PS How darling is Lola?

Puppy sitter
We're planning on heading to Arizona for thanksgiving, if we can figure out something with Clementine. Unfortunately everyone we've asked is heading out of town for the holiday. We're also considering a kennel and we found one that looks pretty good online, but it's kind of expensive. We don't want to leave her somewhere unsafe, so we're really in a dilemma. Does anyone know of a good kennel around here? Or is anyone staying in Utah for the holiday and willing to watch Clementine for a few days?

our second wedding, ever!
We shot Amy's wedding...it was a really fun day. I was a little stressed at first because it's a lot of responsibility. But the photos turned out great and we had an awesome day visiting with the Fenn familia. See more on our photo blog.

Amy's Shower
We are so excited for Amy's upcoming wedding and it was fun to celebrate at her shower and eat the yummy crepes. After the shower Dres and I headed to the temple to check out the grounds since I hadn't been there before. It reminds me of the Rexburg temple a lot, and I'm excited to shoot there next week.

A Walk

Drive-Ins
Our quick trip to Boise was actually really fun. We don't mind road trips and we really like getting to visit new places. Boise surprisingly reminded us of parts of California- Anyway, it took us way longer to get there because we were towing a trailer but it still wasn't a horrible drive. We arrived on Friday night, but on the way down we stopped in Roy, UT to try the Burger Bar. We try to eat at places featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives if we get a chance. We like food way too much. The hamburgers were really good and so was my peanut butter shake.
On Saturday morning we wanted to stop in at a Great Harvest in Boise because one of David's mission friends, Wil, owns it. Unfortunately he was not there and we were a little disappointed...until Wil's wife walked in! She recognized David immediately. We ended up going over to their house and David got to visit with him while Amanda and I entertained their cute little boy by pretending the flashlight he was shining in our eyes was hurting us :) He really is a cute kid. I'm glad David got to visit a friend that he hasn't seen in so long and catch up.
We loaded up the truck with Amanda's stuff and on the way out of town stopped at the West Side Drive-In, another DDD restaurant. We ordered these buffalo fries which were basically potato wedges with buffalo sauce on them. They were really good! David got steak fingers which apparently is a really popular meal in Idaho + Wyoming. We also tried their potato ice cream which is just ice cream in the shape of a potato with cocoa powder on the outside to make it look like the skin of a potato. It was good and funny.

Camping
We finally made it camping after several failed attempts this summer! We went up Hobble Creek Canyon and ended up finding a gem of a spot next to a creek to camp at. We even had to make our own fire pit. The best part was that the scariest animals we encountered were grazing cows. Clementine was in heaven having free space to run in and she got filthy from all the dust and dirt. We had delicious tin foil dinners provided by Christiana and the boys kept our fire going by cutting down dead trees. We will definitely return to our secret spot!
