Jude goes to Disneyland

We decided to get Disneyland passes again since we live so close, and it's always a fun time.
Last weekend Aunt Amanda visited and met Jude for the first time.
Monday night David and I took Jude to Disneyland and went on Pirates.
Tuesday we met Amanda and her bf Nate and spent the day hanging out. We got Jude his Mickey ears.
Friday we went to Disneyland AGAIN and met the Gordons who were here on vacation.

All Jude, All the Time

She has great-great grandchildren!

Jude's First Week

We arrived home to a clean house full of food, all thanks to my mom. David immediately had to head to school (we are still amazed how lucky we were to have Jude over the weekend so David didn't even miss a class!) My sister flew in on Tuesday morning and stayed the rest of the week with us, too. Her and my mom were the biggest helps. I would have gone crazy without them!

 Jude loves Aunt Remy.
 Photoshoot.
Big car trip to Grandma + Grandpa Faughts'.

I am in awe at how quickly David has taken to being a dad. He loves Jude so much. I shouldn't be surprised tho; he's good at everything he does.

Headed Home 9/10

Don't I look amazing? This is what 16 hours of labor and 6 hours of sleep over 3 days looks like:
SUCH a hot day. Super humid. He slept the whole way home.

Hospital Stay

The first time David held Jude
Right before we got wheeled to our recovery room

We had an amazing experience at the hospital. All of my nurses were beyond loving and caring. I've never stayed at a hospital overnight and never had to be taken care of by anyone like I did after giving birth. I loved not having to think of when to eat or take medicine. It takes a specialkind of person to take care of people like nurses do.
Little boy a few hours old and still swollen.
I was so surprised he had hair and loved it. It was the softest thing I've ever felt.
Jude's bed right next to mine. We had to share the room the first night (and I was alone because David couldn't stay since we were in a shared room). It was a long night but I was running on adrenaline.

Jude's First Minutes

I am so behind on blogging...and everything in my life. My days are now spent entertaining and feeding a boy we both are in love with. Luckily we have been taking pictures of him. Lots! And we have been on a ton of adventures. Here are the photos David took in the hospital of Jude's first moments in this world.
